Easy-Peasy Dishcloths

I have tried a lot of dishcloth patterns (I love crocheted cotton dishcloths!) but they almost always are way too small to be very useful. I have rather large hands (I come from a long line of tall people) and I like to have a cloth at least as big. I also like quick but pretty crochet projects. And thus, the Easy-Peasy Dishcloth was designed.

Ch 35
Row 1= Sc across. Ch 1, turn. (34 sc)
Row 2= Sc in first sc, (skip 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc, sk 2 sc, sc in next sc) five times, skip 2 sc, 3 dc in next sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3= Sc in first dc, (5 dc in next sc, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc) five times, 3 dc in next sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 4-18= Repeat row 3. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Annd... You're done. If you want you can crochet down the side, across the bottom, and up the other side before fastening off though.

Two Skein Afghan

Yarn: Worsted weight – about 10 oz(or a little less, or a little more.), plus some extra if you want to put an edging on it.
Hook: N or 9 mm
Do not turn. Afghan is worked in the round. Afghan works to be about 31 inches across if slightly less than ten ounces of worsted weight yarn is used.
Special stitches:
CL= (Yo and insert hook in space, draw up a loop, yo and pull through two loops) twice, yo and pull through all three loops on hook. Ch 2. (Yo and insert hook in same space, draw up a loop, yo and pull through two loops) twice, yo and pull through all three loops on hook. CL made. [The whole stitch is worked in one space]
BegCL== Ch 2, dc, ch 2, (yo and insert hook in sp, draw up a loop, yo and pull through two loops) twice, yo and draw through all three loops on hook. [The whole stitch is worked in one space]
CG= Yo and insert hook in space, draw up a loop, yo and pull through two loops. Yo and insert hook in next space, draw up a loop, yo and pull through all three loops on hook. C made. [stitch is worked over two spaces]
Ch 3, sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1= BegCL, ch 1. (CL, ch 1) in ring three times. Sl st in dc. (There should be four ch 1 sp and four ch 2 sp. All stitches are worked in the ring.)
Rnd 2-finish= BegCL, ch 1. [Starting in ch 2 sp, (CG over ch sp, ch 1) to next ch 2 sp. CL in ch 2 sp, ch 1.] around. Sl st in dc.
Fasten off and weave in ends. There. You’re done.

Here is a close up of how the corners and stitches should look.

Turtle Hat

Sorry it took me so long to write another pattern! The holidays were hectic and I'm pregnant now so I've been pretty busy. :D Anyway, I couldn't find an adult sized pattern for a turtle hat so here is a new one! The mohawk isn't included in the pattern, it was just an add-on for a friend.

Hook: 1/9 or 5.5 mm, F/5 or 3.75
Yarn: Worsted weight in two colors. (Color change is optional)
Ch 2 counts as dc. Do not turn unless specified. Change color after every second row.
Bobble: (Yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through two loops) five times, yo and draw through all six loops.
Gauge: First two rows of hat should measure two inches across. If it measures a little less that is okay, but any larger and you should probably use a smaller hook.

Hat:
Rnd 1= Using magic ring method and larger hook, crochet 12 in ring. Sl st in first dc. Ch 1, turn. (12 dc)
Rnd 2= (2 sc in next stitch, bobble in next stitch) around. Sl st in first sc. Fasten off. (18 st)
Rnd 3= Join with dc in first st, dc, (2 dc in next st, 2 dc) around. Sl st in first dc. Ch 1, turn. (24 st)
Rnd 4= (Sc, 2 sc in next st, bobble in next st) around. Sl st in first st, fasten off. (32 st)
Rnd 5= Join with dc in first st, 2 dc, (2 dc in next st, 3 dc) around. Sl st in first dc. Ch 1, turn. (40 st)
Rnd 6= (Sc, 2 sc in next st, bobble in next st) around. Sl st in first st, fasten off. (53 st)
Rnd 7= Join with dc in first st, 4 dc, (2 dc in next st, 5 dc) around. Sl st in first st, ch 1, turn. (61 st)
Rnd 8= (3 sc, bobble in next st) around, sc. Sl st in first st, fasten off. (61 st)
Rnd 9= Join with dc in first st, dc in same st. (2 dc in next st, 9 dc) around. Sl st in first st, Ch 1 turn. (68 st)
Rnd 10= (3 sc, bobble in next st) around. Sl st in first st, Fasten off. (68 st)
Rnd 11= Join with dc in first st, dc around. Sl st in first st, ch 1, turn. (68 st)
Rnd 12= (3 sc, bobble in next st) around. Sl st in first st, Fasten off. (68 st)
Rnd 13-18= Repeat rows 11 and 12 more times, alternating colors every other row. (68 st)
Rnd 19= Join with sc in first st. Sc around. Do not turn. (68 st)
Rnd 20= Sc around. Sl st to first st, Fasten off. (68 st)
